Two years in the making for the best show at Brighton Fringe 2021!
Covid may have stopped us in our tracks but in reality, it just gave us more time to create even more twists, turns, and hilarious comedy.
Of course, the arts have taken a battering. It’s been great to watch shows online but nothing really beats the live experience.
As a result, we have re-written, re-booked dates (twice) re-worked and even had to re-cast due to pre-booked medical procedures! Our new plans give show fans the confidence to attend in a Covid world. While still giving the full-on entertainment and engagement audiences have come to expect from our shows. Saturday 26th June will see our long-awaited return, the best show at Brighton Fringe 2021!
Comedy Cabaret at its best
Because we want to be the best show at Brighton Fringe 2021 we can’t be seen to take the easy route! Rather than the basic cabaret format of a singing host, in-between various variety acts our shows always take you on a journey into our exciting imaginary themed worlds.
Time Travel through music TV history
Through the clever use of projections, we invite you to time travel back and forth through music television history. You are our V.I.P. guest at our secret TV studio where you will be the first to experience the premier ‘broadcast’ of our ‘Rockstars & Popstars TV Time Machine’ as we rewind and fast forward through time.
Experience the 1930’s with jazz age glamorous feather dancers, Disco bump and grind acrobatics, 1990’s pop princess Burlesque, 1970’s Punk Rock spark show mayhem, 1980’s epic stadium rock fire act, and 1940’s super-smooth Sinatra style.
Win music prizes with the Hip Hop versus Chap Hop Pop Quiz, music TV hosting unplugged, and a giant ‘Massaoke’ finale!
A Hilariously Immersive Experience
On your arrival, we certainly have a few tricks up our sleeve. Will there be celebrities amongst us? Our glitzy red-carpet presenter and camera team certainly seem to think so. There may also be Z-listers with their autographed studio shots and comedy backstories, you never know who you might meet! We are involving the venue staff, tech staff, and even the security guards for an experience like no other!
Site-Specific Venue
Chalk Brighton is well known for hosting some of the very best in underground live music and touring bands. The perfect venue to host a show all about Rockstars and Popstars and give that live gig vibe. We intend to make full use of their state-of-the-art sound system and brilliant lighting rig using every effect possible. It’s a seated show with all the drink brands you’d expect to be stocked at a live music venue. With straight out of the oven hot pizza too!
